Sojourn is a 1912 Dutch Tjalk that has been expertly renovated for comfortable living and cruising the inland waterways of France and Europe.

She’s Ideal as a full time live aboard barge or holiday floating home and able to cruise all the interconnected French and European waterways. The wheelhouse has good seating, with all controls easily accessed. The AIS is a great help navigating the rivers and canals. From the wheelhouse double doors open to the spacious Aft Deck fitted with comfortable cane chairs and table, and efficient Weber Barbecue. Enjoy the passing scenery from the aft deck or choose to walk along the safe gunnels with grab rail and sit on the fore deck.

Evening meals and entertaining are a joy. Barbecue and Dine on the aft deck with cool summer breezes gently blowing, or on the main deck around a large teak table and chairs.

From the wheelhouse, step down into a passage with washing machine, tumble dryer and storage space. The second cabin leads off from this passage. The second cabin has two bunk beds, and ample cupboard storage space.

The airy light filled saloon, is designed for practicality and comfort. The large sofa converts into a very comfortable queen bed, 4 seater dining room, and kitchen, compact and fully equipped. A spacious bathroom with generous shower, macerator toilet, and hand basin, with good storage space make for convenient sharing. The main cabin has a queen walk-aroundbed with side pedetals, and cupboards for him and her.

The engine, structure and all other equipment have been maintained to a high standard by her owners during the past 5 years and before that by her previous owners.

The water tanks hold 2000 litres and together with the 750 watt solar panels and large battery banks allows one to wild moor for long periods. The 1000 litres of fuel tanks provides a whole season of cruising without the need to refuel. The hydraulic steering makes Sojourn a pleasure to steer and manouvre.
She is presently cruising the canals and rivers of Canals du Midi and Garonne with her home port in Castelsarrasin.

Sojourn has a valid ES-TRIN (TRIWV) which was done in April 2021 and is valid until Feb 2028 which makes her compliant with all statutory requirements.

Part of the sale agreement will be a 2-3 day hand over where we would give detailed instructions on the use and management of Sojourn.
